My Interests

Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, I relocated to central North Carolina more than a decade ago. While there’s much about NC that I love (the fragrant and early springtime, for one), New England is in my blood. And my roots. As the expression goes, “you can take the girl out of Boston, but you can’t take the Boston out of the girl.”

I’ve always been artsy. I love to create and this manifests in a number of ways…of course, through writing, but more often of late through repurposing seaglass, shells, and other treasures found along the seashore. Through designing and sewing textile art pieces and quilts. Through embroidery and slow stitching.  And learning to sketch. I also love spending time with my dogs, who keep me centered and demand long walks and daily ball playing. Like much of the population, I too have jumped onto the pickleball craze and enjoy getting on the court a couple of times a week.
